Lena Zerbinopoulos

Lena lives with her husband and two rare disorders - medullary sponge kidneys (MSK) and hypermobile Ehlers-Danlos syndrome (hEDS).

It was the diagnosis of hEDS in 2016 that empowered her to take control of her health and started a Pilates routine. After two years of consistent practice, both in studio and at home, the chronic pain had significantly reduced overall and completely disappeared in some areas.

With the opening of my pilates studio ® in 2021, it was her goal to introduce as many people as possible to the power of Pilates in an effort to improve overall mental and physical wellbeing. The Reformer Room, a separate studio dedicated to group reformer classes, opened late summer of 2023. My Pilates Studio opened another intimate studio in Boston, MA in early 2024.

Lena is a life long student, as well as an instructor and continues her Comprehensive certification journey through Balanced Body.
When not practicing Pilates, Lena loves to visit the beach, hike and bike. Lena is most proud of raising two amazing boys.

Melissa Fine

Melissa started her Pilates training in 2018 with Balanced Body Education and taught her first class two days later. She has completed her comprehensive training in mat, reformer, chair, barrels, Cadillac, tower, movement principles, and anatomy as well as earning joint mobility and integrated movement specialist certificates. She’s enjoyed teaching thousands of group classes as well as private lessons for the past 5 years.

Melissa’s pilates journey started after a car accident, finding that modified Reformer exercises were available to keep her moving. Pilates came in handy again in 2020 while she recovered from a major shoulder surgery. She credits Pilates for helping her gain full range of motion and strength back to her joint. And she further used her understanding of alignment and movement principles for better engagement in day to day life. She credits the Pilates’ connection between body and mind for healing and balancing her spirit, living by the idea that it’s not about the setback, it’s about the comeback!

Melissa’s passion for Pilates is evident in her classes. She aims to empower students with fun, challenging and creative classes. Her love for anatomy encourages clients to move in alignment from their strong 360’ core. Melissa’s goal is to inspire each student to learn about their body and gain strength, mobility, and flexibility as well as movement free of pain. Her promise and commitment is to never stop learning, challenging herself, and growing!

When not in the studio Melissa enjoys SUP boarding, skiing, hiking with her dog Reuben, core training with the high school crew team, providing Reiki, cooking, and supporting her two polar opposite children in their own endeavors.

Becky Cooke

Becky found Pilates after a rheumatoid arthritis diagnosis in 2019 from contracting Chikungunya in the Dominican Republic during a service trip.

She ended her college running career earlier than expected but was able to find a new outlet and form of movement that her body could manage much better.
She completed 12 modules of BASI Pilates training in 2021 during her gap year and is preparing to test out. She is over halfway through her Doctorate of Physical Therapy program and hopes to use her knowledge of Pilates and Physical Therapy to keep the body healthy, strong and happy!

Becky believes in teaching each individual and aligning the body, mind and spirit through movement. She hopes to create a respectful and comfortable environment during her classes and fosters freedom of movement and healing for beginners and beyond.

She loves going to the beach, hiking mountains, going on roadtrips, and living in her tiny apartment with her cat, Zuko.

Michelle Dyson

Michelle has been a public school art educator for 33 years. Teaching is part of her being.

Whole body health has been part of Michelle’s lifestyle throughout her adulthood. She has always been athletic and played sports but it wasn’t until her twenties that she started weight lifting, saving her from an eating disorder that started around the same time. Knowing she had to fuel her body to build muscle, she created nutritious balanced meals.

After 30 years of lifting weights and competing in body building, she took a break. Now, in her 50’s, Michelle decided to merge her love for strength training with an area she was lacking - flexibility.

After her first class at My Pilates Studio®, she was hooked! In fact, she loved it so much, she knew she had to teach it. With her mind and body in balance, she had to share with others how great her body felt after each session.

Michelle has received her reformer certificate through Balanced Body and continues her educational path. Students love her teaching style and she has quite the following.

Michelle is also responsible for the breathtaking mural found on the wall in The Reformer Room™
